Auto Forbidden Cherry® is a fast-flowering, Indica-dominant autoflowering strain. One of its most beautiful features is the fully purple buds, which range from purple/pink to very dark purple and, in some cases, even (pitch) black.

This is especially common when grown outdoors in colder conditions. This original Dutch Passion autoflower will also produce purple flowers when grown indoors, as this is a genetic trait of the strain.

The plants usually have a small Christmas tree structure with a dominant main bloom and some smaller side blooms. There are a few phenotypes that can also grow a little taller, especially if they are placed in a relatively large pot from the start.

When grown in a small container, this strain stays very compact and short. This also makes it ideal for growing on a balcony or in a small garden, where growers prefer a plant that is not too large (and easily visible).

Auto Forbidden Cherry is a suitable strain for growing outdoors (guerrilla style) or in a greenhouse in a temperate climate. But she also copes well with the more northern (or southern) and colder climates.

As with all autoflowers, you should preferably choose the warmest 3 summer months for the best results. She usually develops sturdy broad leaves with wide fingers. As the plant matures and flowering begins, the leaves become narrower and take on a more hybrid appearance.

When grown in large containers from the start, some plants can reach about a metre in height. The internode spacing is medium. It maintains a small distance between the buds, so the flowers may not fully merge.

Auto Forbidden Cherry grows indoors under 20/4 light from autoflowering seed to harvest in about 63-70 days on average. In just 10 weeks, this feminised autoflowering plant grows into a compact, medium-sized cannabis plant up to about 75 cm high.

The final size depends, of course, on the size of the pot, the number of hours of light per day, the climate, the soil, the fertiliser and the care. But the phenotype can also play a role.

Outdoors and in greenhouses, this strain thrives even in more challenging conditions. This strain is a real all-rounder and can be grown in all kinds of conditions. Outdoors, the total flowering time of this strain can take about a week to 1.5 weeks longer – up to 11-12 weeks to mature from autoflower seed to harvest.

This is especially true at low (night) temperatures. This strain can withstand this relatively well. Due to the cold temperatures, the purple colours can become even darker and sometimes the buds can even turn almost completely black! This autoflower thrives very well in pots and better ventilated grow containers are recommended for growing in very humid climates.

The yield of Auto Forbidden Cherry

Auto Forbidden Cherry usually produces compact to medium-sized plants. It is a fast autoflower that is usually compact and medium-sized (depending on growing conditions and pot choice). Yields can vary from between 25-100 grams per plant. The yield is classified as ‘L’ (meaning large yields); about 400–450 g/m² are possible indoors.

Dutch Passion Autoflower produces compact purple flowers with a little space between the buds, which allows more air and light through. This in turn improves resistance to rot/mould.

Most outdoor growers, especially those in more temperate or colder climates, will receive around 30–50g per plant. In a sunny and dry climate, yields of up to 150g per plant are possible.

Auto Forbidden Cherry is an easy-to-grow autoflower and grows best naturally. She can be topped if you want to keep her very small, but we don't generally recommend this with this strain - the yield can be adversely affected.

Due to the short time it takes from autoflower seeds to harvest, it is important that the first few weeks go well. Therefore, when growing outdoors, choose a warm period to bring her outside so that she can flourish during the first few weeks.

You can plant them in the ground outdoors or grow them in a pot. It is preferable to germinate them directly in the final growing container from the start or to transplant them after a maximum of 1-2 weeks of growth indoors. Growing indoors under a good LED lamp is recommended, but it is certainly not a must.

Give her 20 hours or even 24 hours of light a day during this period so that she can grow as tall as possible! If you want to make special hashish from your autoflowers, you can use our Auto Forbidden Cherry to produce some very colourful hashish.

The ice water used for ‘washing’ can sometimes even turn completely purple! If you are looking for a good strain to make old-school hash, then you have made the right choice with this cannabis strain.
